Terms of service

Effective September 11, 2026

These terms apply to the Northwood Investments website and to every application published by Northwood Investments LLC, unless an app's store listing or in-app notice links to app-specific terms. Where app-specific terms exist, they control for that app.

Agreement

By using the website or any of our applications (together, the "Services"), you agree to these terms and to our privacy policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the Services. If you use the Services on behalf of a business, you confirm you have authority to bind it, and "you" includes that business.

Your license to use our apps

We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use our apps on devices you own or control, for their intended purpose and in line with these terms and the rules of the app store you got them from. We retain all rights not expressly granted.

Accounts

If you create an account, you must provide accurate information and keep your credentials confidential. You're responsible for activity under your account. Tell us promptly at jake.nwinvestments@gmail.com if you believe it has been compromised. You must be at least 13 years old (or the age of digital consent where you live) to create an account.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• use the Services for anything unlawful, or to infringe anyone's rights;
• reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of our apps except where the law expressly permits it;
• probe, scan, or overload our systems, bypass security or rate limits, or access data that isn't yours;
• use automated means to scrape the Services or to generate abusive volumes of requests, including to AI features;
• upload malware or content that is harassing, defamatory, or otherwise harmful;
• resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit the Services without our written permission.

Purchases, subscriptions, and refunds

In-app purchases and subscriptions are sold through Apple's App Store, Google Play, or a payment processor such as Stripe, and are governed by their terms. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled through the store or platform where you bought them. Refunds for store purchases are handled by the store under its policies; for purchases made directly through us, contact us and we'll work with you in good faith. Prices may change with notice before your next renewal.

Your content

You keep ownership of anything you create or upload using the Services. You grant us the limited license needed to store, process, display, and transmit it in order to operate the Services for you, including sending it to the third-party providers described in our privacy policy. You are responsible for having the rights to whatever you submit.

AI-generated content

Some of our apps generate text, images, code, or recommendations using artificial intelligence. AI output can be wrong, incomplete, or biased, and it is not professional advice of any kind (legal, medical, financial, or otherwise). You are responsible for reviewing output before relying on it or sharing it, and for how you use it. As between you and Northwood, you own the output your inputs produce, to the extent the law allows, and we make no claim that any output is unique to you.

Intellectual property

The Services, including software, design, text, and trademarks, belong to Northwood Investments LLC or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. Feedback you send us may be used without obligation to you.

Third-party services

The Services rely on and may link to third-party services such as app stores, payment processors, sign-in providers, and AI providers. We don't control those services and aren't responsible for them; your use of them is subject to their own terms.

Termination

You may stop using the Services at any time and may delete your account where the app provides that option or by emailing us. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these terms, if required by law, or if we discontinue a Service, in which case we will give reasonable notice where practical. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including ownership, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and governing law) do survive.

Disclaimer of warranties

The Services are provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We don't promise that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that AI output will be accurate.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Northwood Investments LLC and its members, employees, and contractors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Services. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Services is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim or one hundred U.S. dollars. Some jurisdictions don't allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

Indemnity

You agree to defend and indemnify Northwood Investments LLC against claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your content, your violation of these terms, or your violation of anyone else's rights.

Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Utah, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute that can't be resolved informally will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Utah, and you consent to their jurisdiction. Before filing a claim, please contact us; most issues can be resolved quickly by email.

Changes to these terms

We may revise these terms from time to time. The effective date at the top shows when they were last changed. For material changes, we'll give notice within the affected app or by email where we have your address. Continuing to use the Services after a change means you accept the new terms.
